Above is the original version of "wave" ~ paint on a cardboard waste container in Golden Gate Park. I took the photo on Saturday when I was trying to be hyper aware of what it was that caught my eye - color, form, subject - amid the innumerable things that might be seen.

"wave" looked like a Chinese character created with a very large brush. It's simplicity and sense of movement appealed to me. I find abstract images generally more interesting - so much can be imagined. A random gesture found on a cardboard box transforms into a tsunami. Gestural abstraction.

The next several images I post will be from Saturday's experience/experiment. Possibly a pattern will become apparent.
